phpThumb_generated_thumbnailjpg (1)With great sadness, we announce that Jim Lett sadly passed away on 26 July 2012, after losing his battle with cancer.

Jim originated from Windsor and attended Windsor Boys Grammar School. After briefly working for Greenpeace, Jim joined Kidd Rapinet in 1974 as a trainee solicitor and went on to become a partner in 1983. Jim spent his entire professional life with Kidd Rapinet, and his reign as the Managing Partner of our Maidenhead Office was a particularly successful one.

Jim was a very talented lawyer, and the last remaining ‘old school Queen’s Bench litigator’. His knowledge was vast, and his advice was accurate, practical and extremely honest. It was with no surprise therefore, when Jim was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in November 2009, an achievement of which he was so obviously and understandably proud.

Outside of the office, Jim loved rugby, water sports and the natural world. He was also a keen runner, having completed many half marathons and 10k runs. He especially loved spending time in the West Country with his wife Di, and his sons James and Ben. Our thoughts and condolences are with his family at this difficult time.

We will miss Jim both professionally and personally.
