With over 50 of us playing from all different backgrounds, the team format consisted of groups of four, in a four-person Stableford best two scores better ball round over 18 holes. The mixed men and women’s event started from just before 10 am with organisers setting up the course and registration area, and lasted well into the late afternoon. Some groups started to tee off from 12:30 pm, allowing some of us to put in a few hours of work beforehand (and after).

Unfortunately our fourth team member was unable to make it, but the day still turned out to be a great success nonetheless with some incredible weather alongside it.

It took Team Kidd Rapinet Slough a little over 3 and a half hours to get round the course, and we witnessed some excellent play at hand (and some not so good). We attempted to get round the course with as few shots as possible per hole, which doesn’t always go to plan with the game of golf. It was just nice to get out of the office on a gloriously sunny day to support a great cause.

With Kidd Rapinet also kindly sponsoring the Longest Drive hole, the day pulled in just over £3,000 for the Sport in Mind charity.

The day ended with a pint in the sun and a stunning pulled pork burger and salad prepared by Sunningdale Heaths 1902 Bar, also presenting us with another opportunity to network.

Sport in Mind is a charity whose main philosophy is to transform the mental health of people of all ages, through sport and physical activity. The money raised on the day will go to supporting this incredibly worthwhile charity, organising events, providing support and advice to those who are struggling, whilst keeping them active and involved.
