In the second of a series of high-value seminars for private individuals and entrepreneurs (the first was on IHT), three of the Thames Valley’s leading professional services firms – Harwood Hutton, Chiltern Consultancy and Kidd Rapinet – team up to lift the lid on property and how to make the most from it.
Using our popular case-study format, our five expert speakers will cover the big strategic considerations for owners, investors and developers. And we’ll be busting a few popular property myths along the way.
The seminar will touch on all of these important topics:
- Inheritance tax implications
- Landlord and tenant basics
- VAT considerations for developers
- Planned VAT domestic reverse charge for construction services
- Capital Gains Tax and business property reliefs
- Property investment companies
- A commercial property business versus a residential property business
- Stamp duty
- Capital allowances
- Equity release
- Vehicles for holding property
- Tax treatment for property investment versus property development
- Planning for disposal
Where time allows, our panel will also be on hand to respond to your own individual questions.
