Inheritance Tax planning and Inheritance Trusts

If your estate (money, possessions and property) is worth more than £325,000 at your death, it will be taxed. There is a tax-free threshold of £325,000, after which inheritance tax is payable at 40%, unless these assets are left to your spouse or a charity. We can advise you on inheritance tax planning to reduce your liability, an important consideration when drafting your Will.

Probate and Administration of Estates

Probate is the legal process of dealing with and distributing someone’s estate after their death.  The administration of an estate involves assembling the deceased’s assets and dealing with HMRC. This is supervised by your chosen executors who are responsible for carrying out your wishes as specified in the Will. Paperwork and tax forms can be complicated and at these distressing times may be overwhelming. We can manage some or all of the probate on behalf of your executors.
